As a member of CAEA many opportunities for learning as well as giving back are there for all of us. The Northern Region Board would love to hear your ideas on events, art happening days, or if you have an interest in participating in the following areas:

Region Meetings
Our goal in the Northern Region is to gather locally and network as an area. Please consider gathering with fellow art teachers and art lovers and meet us online. Award Categories
Grade-Level Awards
The YAM grade-level submission categories are:
Ruth Jansen Award
Each Area may select one grade-level senior artist from the YAM artwork submitted to become a candidate to receive a $100 annual Ruth Jansen Northern Area Award.
Once all winners (K–2, 3–5, 6–8, 9–12, Ruth Jansen) have been selected from the Northern Area shows, please send the following to Gini:

A 300 dpi JPEG of each First Place winning grade-level category artwork in each media category;

A 300 dpi JPEG of the Ruth Jansen Award candidate's artwork;
-
The name of each student artist and the student's grade level;
-
The name of each student's teacher;
-
The name of the school being represented.
Any teacher submitting a student's artwork must be a current member of CAEA and may only submit his/her own students' artwork; teachers may not submit artwork for other teachers who are not current members.

NOTE: The Northern Area CAEA show will be juried by art education museum curators from NYC via Pat Semrick. (The show will not be juried by any of the Northern Area board members nor any educators except Pat and her team).

Blue Line Arts is a non-profit organization and active community resource established to promote the arts in Roseville, California. Blue Line Arts showcases the works of regional and national artists, complete with flexible exhibition space suitable for small musical performances, lectures and demonstrations. A special children's gallery provides a dedicated location for children's programs.
